Adapted
milk formulae for infants from birth
onwards
BIOMIL® may be used as a
supplement to or replacement for
breast milk should this be
lacking or insufficient.
BIOMIL® is a preparation
based on modified cows’ milk so
as to ensure it is precisely
adapted to the nutritional needs
of infants.
BIOMIL® contains
partially skimmed cow milk, demineralized whey, vegetable
oils, lactose and supplements of
calcium, zinc and copper, iron
salts and 14 vitamins.
BIOMIL® is a milk
formula that is especially well
tolerated by infants aged
between 0 and 6 months. It may
be used as a replacement for
breast milk should this not be
available, or as weaning food if
the quantity of breast milk no
longer meets the infant’s needs.
BIOMIL® complies
with the standards of the Codex
Alimentarius and with the
recommendations of the European
Union, as well as with those of
the European Society for
Paediatric Gastroenterology,
Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN).
The milk base used in BIOMIL
imported from FASSBEL Company in
Belgium and it is in optimum
quality, because:
From the collection of milk on
the farm, the selection of
ingredients and the production
process to the shipping of
merchandise, all possible
measures are taken to ensure
that the final products are
optimized for the best nutrition
that modern technology is able
to offer infants, young
children, their (future)
mothers, and adults in general.
A few examples:
Collection of milk on the farm
using special trucks 24 hours a
day.
Freshness of milk: maximum 6
hours between collection on the
farm and finalizing of the
formulated product.
Pasteurization is carried out at
an average temperature in 3
cycles so as to protect the
structure of proteins, and
consequently their benefits.
Daily supply of vegetable oils
to ensure that there is no time
for oxidation to take place
before use.
Strict quality tests for
ingredients prior to use
(see “Quality Assurance”
section).
Special (methodology
officially approved) daily cleaning of the
kilometers of liquid lines
(milk, other ingredients,
products under process) – daily
procedure requiring 3 hours (C.I.P.
= cleaning in placement).
Weekly (methodology
officially approved) cleaning of the milk
tanks and spray towers (32 to 48
hours each week!).
Computer-controlled (methodology
officially approved) cleaning
of the inner surfaces of milk
collection truck tanks after each
unloading.
The most efficient spray-drying
towers (Niro MSD) in production
line.
